Why CSS World Awards?
To recognize the work done by developers that build websites using CSS. And basically, to heighten the awareness of the companies using Web Standards.
Who can participate?
Only websites that are included in CSS Mania from May 2005 to May 2006 will be awarded.
10 categories will be awarded
First 9 awards will go to each of the main categories that can be seen in our archive. Last award will be what we will call Year's Site. As follows:
Year's Site
Associations
Blogging
Business
Entertainment
Institutions
Media
Portal
Web Design (Companies and Portfolios)
Web Tools
A webpage can be nominated in several categories.
150 websites will be announced 5th June as nominees for the awards. 15 websites in each of the categories. We have also prepared some branding stuff to help promote the event and for the nominees to include in their websites. Being nominated doesn´t mean a link back to us.
Judges will select the 3 awarded websites in each category.
The awarded sites will be announced at the beginning of July.
Neither Blogs Media websites, nor Judges websites will be included in the contest.
